OCD Support Groups

For a list of OCD Support Groups, the International OCD Foundation has recently unveiled their new database.  For me, the most helpful group was one based on the GOAL model, with a professional present, and where members support each other in doing exposures to our fears.  The International OCD Foundation also has a list of local affiliates, which may be able to help in finding a GOAL group.  It's important that you judge for yourself if a particular group is going to be a good fit for you.

The following list is a clearinghouse of groups that I compiled while the IOCDF was database was down. I recently revisited it September, 2016 to take out the links that no longer work. Unfortunately, some of the links in the IOCDF revised database are now out of date, but hopefully, someone at the IOCDF can point you in the right direction.

Some people have found the following helpful in dealing with OCD.
